Jobs in Asia and Africa with FAA licences
I hold FAA licences but I am from South America, so due to immigration regulations I have not been able to find jobs in USA, the major market if you are low time like me 1000 TT. Does anybody know anything about companies in Asia and Africa that might be hiring without asking for Type Rating, 500 jet time and viceversa?, your comments can help all of us in that situation. Thanks guys

Dont know about Asia.
Spent many years in Africa.
My only suggestion is save some money, get a backpack and go to where you want to work.
Nobody is going to look at your CV if they cannot see your face.
It is as simple as that.
good luck

I would have to agree with you. A friend of mine was an FAA CFI and he was trying to get work for years and years in South America. He finally bit the bullet and went down there in Person shook some hands and within weeks got a job. He had been sending C.V's every month and he said that he saw a pile of them in a corner un-opened!
The other option you might consider is Missionary flying? Its usually un paid sometimes you even have to pay for your living expenses. Be careful if you choose this though. I enquired with one organization and they were prepared to send me on single pilot operations in IFR conditions straight away. It is my firm belief that someone who holds an FAA I.R and has zero experience in Actual conditions is an accident waiting to happen. I have one and I certainly wouldn't be ready. Send me a P.M if I can help you with the small amount of Info I have
