Lufthansa Launches Campaign To Hire 2,000+ New Pilots
Hi everyone,
Just curios as to anyone's thoughts are on this topic, and I must admit I'm quite surprised that I still haven't found any news or murmuring about such an announcement.
Any comments on whether they might consider relaxing their German language requirements?

This campaign comprises the entire Lufthansa Group. Already now you don't need to speak any german if you want to apply to Lufthansa Group companies like Air Dolomiti or Brussels Airlines.

You don't need to speak any German as long as you apply to airlines that require B2 Italian and fluency in dutch/french respectively...

City Airlines
Unclear tearms and conditions even for fmr. City Line pilots. Rumour goes approx same basic as mainline, no collective agreement, limited ID travel and random rosters with max one OFF day during weekends. Max 10 days OFF/month. Unclear fleet plan but hiring A320 only at this time…If this is a plan for hiring boom to look like…😏

So, pre-COVID there were talks that Lufthansa had 3000+ pilots in their pipeline (training, MPL licensed). Have they all been taken by the company already? Assuming that the flight training was not stopped during the COVID and is in full swing now, why are they recruiting 2000+ pilots? It is a weird announcement knowing their previous backlog of available pilots...
