I was speaking to an Easyjet pilot friend who said I should defintiely apply to this but it annoys him when they say it is fully funded. In his eyes there has been no fully funded pilot training since 2001 and BA will expect to recoup the training costs with a reduced salary for the first 5-7 years. I know this opportunity is advertised as £34k + extras starting salary but does anyone know what the salary progression is likely to be? And more specifically how this compares to a self funded newly qualified pilot starting in the same role? To clarify my position; I still think this is a great opportunity - even if I were to effectively pay back the training cost over a number of years but I'm curious to know where the lucky candidates will stand financially.

Email through late afternoon yesterday with an invite to video interview - seems they're working through the apps as they come. Guess they have to with the high volume and tight timelines.
Absolutely no idea what to expect and not much guidance from the email / BA Carers site once i log in, unless I 'launch' it, at which point no going back!

V slow to load Maths test....
I've just attempted the Maths test, software was v v slow!! Was unresponsive when selecting my answers and took at least 30 seconds + on most occasions to move on to the next question. I timed out after only getting through about 8 Qs
Internet works absolutely fine and tested etc before starting......feel like this has put a lot of people to an unfair disadvantage. Not sure if any have been able to have a second attempt at this? A bit disappointed as I've now been rejected....

Just completed the situational judgement test and got an instant rejection email. Does anyone know if they've reached their quota for applicants on the Speedbird Programme or are they still letting people through to the digital interviews?

the rejection emails after the tests are automated so it means you got stuff wrong.

+1 - we're all in a highly competitive process unfortunately. Whilst I'll keep posting about any progress / next steps I hear, I won't be disclosing what is involved in each so that it is fair to everyone applying as we will all be at different stages in the process most likely. It seems BA are progressing people through earlier stages on a concurrent basis, likely due to sheer volume / capacity on their side.

I assume I passed all the tests on Friday morning (as in each time I got to the end and was offered the next test) but got a generic "Unfortunately, we've decided not to progress your application on this occasion" email from BA last night (Sunday). Shame but I think my background/CV etc isn't exactly what they are looking for and they can obviously afford to pick only the very best of the applicants. Good luck everyone, this is a great opportunity and I hope it does go to good people!

What a joke. Completed all 3 assessments, and still received the "we've decided not to progress your application". I'd love to see their ideal candidate, if one exists of course.

I don’t reckon they’d have looked at CVs yet? I would have thought that they would let everyone sit the tests, then once they’re all submitted, those in say the top 10% who passed would get a video interview.
Then from there that’s when human intervention would start to happen and they’d start looking at CVs.

Hiya. Is it’s like the TUI interview where they give you a question and you are talking to a screen for 2 minutes or do you have someone from BA interviewing?
Up to you if you want to answer. Just want to see if it’s like the TUI process and if I need to maybe book some time off work to be able to fit around the interview.
