But I have to say I didn’t think I’d see the day fully sponsored cadet schemes made a comeback so this is brilliant news. I have it on VERY good authority that this is just the beginning too. 60 pilots a year is just the start.
I assume BA will be able to manage the whole concept better than UAL has so far with its school:

This is such an amazing opportunity! I'm wondering if anybody has any tips around how to prepare for the aptitude test and/or entry exams? I'm imagining the process will be very competitive so would like to give myself the best chance. Are there any recommendations for tutors that could help with preparation?

Hi, no problem. It’s Flight Simulators Midlands, based at Coventry Airport. We specialise in assessment prep. BA in particular. Our course is run by an ex BA Capt and ex BA recruitment team member. If you can send me your email address I’ll get some info off to you. Or google them and follow the link on the home page to BA Speedbird academy prep on the professional page.

So I’ve taken the plunge and booked onto a Flight Simulators Midlands A320 day on 12tg September.
I understand they’re happy for people to double-up on the day, so if anyone wants to join me and get 2x the simulator time please send me a DM.
