US Jobs for Entry Level AUS Pilots
Hi all, I know this may be a long shot in terms of job availabilities, But I am an Australian looking to begin my first job as a pilot with a whopping 225 hours of total aeronautical experience... (CPL, MECIR & Frozen ATPL). While searching for Aussie jobs, I have begun also searching for any job opportunities that may be available over in the states (and New Zealand). I wanted to reach out and see if any of you out there knew any companies in the US that may be hiring low hour guys such as myself (even in Alaska?), I understand there is currently a shortage over there due to the pandemic so was hoping there may be opportunities available.
Many Thanks.
Many Thanks.

DA40,
I'm afraid you're up against insurmountable odds finding a US job with your current qualifications. Even the regionals that previously hired 1500 hour Aussies have slowed down hiring. The traditionally low-time jobs like aerial survey and pipeline flying are few and far between.
Getting FAA tickets would be a project as would qualifying for an E3 visa.
If I could suggest one avenue to monitor, it would be CFI jobs. My WAG is that the CFI supply might be vulnerable if/when the regionals pick up the rate of hiring 1500 hour pilots again, many of whom might come from the CFI ranks. Just a WAG...
Hang in there...many of us started where you are.
