That's brilliant, best of luck to you! I'm still waiting to hear back on a cadet pilot application. Apparently there is an intake in Feb so it might be the same one. Here's hoping to see you there!

That's great news to hear, I applied for several cadet schemes but was unsuccessful at the final stage so decided that I may as well go self-sponsored. Best of luck with your cadet application!! Do let me know how it progresses

Surprised that the course is going ahead esp. as the UK market is going to be dead for a long time post Monarch, Thomas Cook, Flybe & now Covid’s affect on even BA & Virgin.
And the UK is leaving EASA. Training/Licence/Exam recognition?
Can’t speak for non-UK countries of course.

depends on the course so at the moment groundschool is being conducted via online live classes and then if you are in flying phase then vast majority have gone home and are waiting when to be called back.

Nope! Mine was the last course to start 209 and that started on 27th February! It’s important to note that once FTE re opens there will be a large influx of students and most likely be called at a gradual rate due to the number of students in the flying phase
The idea for the Groundschool lot is to take us upto the Mocks

I’d be astounded if there is a large influx of
students after social-distancing restrictions are lifted.
Multiple news stories and analysis showing massive pilot redundancies and airline shrinkages across the globe. Best guesses are the industry returning to health in 3 years’ time. There simply wont be any jobs for a few years. None. Zero. Zilch. Especially none for inexperienced cadets.
You only need about 4 brain cells to know that now is the worst time to train as a pilot in 100 years.
