Thomas cook scholarship FTE
Hi guys, an aspiring female pilot here. I am currently applying to their female scholarship programme,as I have never actually applied to any school/programme before I would like some advice.
The questions are along the lines of give us an example of teamwork... what do you know about TC... and just wondering is there anything specific I should e putting in there? Or how do I linke it to aviation when i have no experience in that field?
Many thanks!

I would suggest you go and apply for as many flying scholarships as you can, if nothing else it gives you great experience of filling in application forms and attending interviews. it also makes you question and articulate your motivation

In common with all aspiring pilots, you will need to convince seasoned aviators that you have the passion and determination to succeed.
What aviation activities have you done so far, and from what age, which will convince someone that you are a genuine recruit. What do you offer which others do not?
Thinks of this as a vocation, and not just a job. Very early starts, late finishes, weekend working and a total disruption to your social/family life.
Forget the glamour bit, just hours of sitting up front watching the machine fly itself. So hand flying the take-off with AP engaged within a minute or so, and on the average day the machine flying it until a couple of minutes prior to touchdown. You are a glorified systems operator.
Are your 100% happy with that for the next ......years until retirement?

My son is an FO with TCX based at Manchester on the A321 but has also bid for MFF on the A330. He's been with them for just over a year now and he rates them very very highly. The training, he says, is second to none and they treat their people, flight deck/cabin crew very well. He's very happy with them.
One of their training captains was recently a finalist on MasterChef
