TCX

Does anyone know what's happening since the last Platinum Pilot scheme opened/closed in the summer? Have any of those who were successful at the interviews actually got as far as the TR with IAGO?

I assume that the applicants have paid their assessment fee (I think it was around £400) and now they're on hold. I hope that they get progressed soon as they might start asking awkward questions about refunds.

Why would you care? I thought you were a doctor with a highly critical opinion of striking pilots? You wouldn't want to work there, would you?

Is that comment directed at me Cirrussy? if so then either you have got me mixed up with someone else or you have made your post after a heavy session on the sauce. I am not and I have never claimed to be a doctor and I have never commented about striking pilots.

Perhaps you would care to clarify your comment.

I think he/she is referring to me. Just because I am a doctor doesn't exclude me from being interested in other subjects/topics. I am also a PPL and love aviation, aviation medicine and like to read comments on PPRUNE.

OK, thanks for the clarification, have just got back from renewing my medical so you'll be pleased to hear that I have no problems with doctors including non medical doctors. Back to the TCX discussion I guess.

Have any of those 'on hold' from the last selection been given the nod to start yet?

Did the type ratings actually start? Heard a whisper it may be delayed again?
