Is is worth converting Australian CPL/MECIR to EASA/JAA
Hi guys,
First time poster so be gentle.
I have just got CASA CPL/MECIR >250 hours but I'm a UK citizen.
From what I can see there seems to be more low time opportunities over in Europe. Is this true or is it a case of the grass is always greener? Would it be worth converting or should I just stick it out over here in GA?

I trod that path back in 2001. I had 4500 hours. It worked for me.
The low houred guys that go to jets seem to come from the full time schools so you might have to join some sort of scheme like that. Others have more info on it.
Look at CTC or Oxford.
If you don't go that way or you need the ATPLs, look at Bristol Ground School.
My husband used them and said that they were the best theory school he'd ever seen. (ex Ansett, now easyJet).
I suspect there'll be a downturn in maybe 2 years or so. Usual economic cycle etc.
Brexit is making a few companies jittery. Watch that space.
Hopefully people with more current info will be along soon.
