There are 1000s of unemployed and suitably qualified pilots struggling to put bread on the table all over Europe. Wizzair will have no problem, correction they will have a problem - that will be managing the enormous number of CVs they have.
In time the situation will change, but for now, this is the reality.

There is always a significant pool of pilots who wouldn't mind relocating somewhere random and only being able to come back home once in a blue moon. Mostly young single guys who wouldn't mind any inconvenience for the sake of flying hours and a salary. As of locals, it's not like any other airline in EE is known for exceptional roster stability, maybe except for Buzz.
It's no secret that the company is managed and staffed mostly by people local to their area of operations. Hence, you can expect things to be heavily influenced by the predominant mentality and the common ways of doing things in that part of the world. All the comments about heavy use of connections whenever something needs to be done in your favour, lack of collective representation etc represent the reality in most EE establishments, whether within aviation or outside of it.

The leadership team consists of three hungarians and nine western-europeans. The board: one hungarian ouf of 11 members. The regional captains and the base captains were local in some cases before but the system was "changed" a bit as you know. It's not managed by locals (some of the heads are from CEE but they don't manage jack). It's not a common EE mentality (as there is only as much common mentality in Kutaisi or Vilnius or in Tirana as there is a common WE one in Catania and Oslo), it's the mentality of exploiting the workforce for profit of the shareholders (who are not from EE either).

The way this stuff works is some manager has to upload their availability into the HR platform, they generally don't do it for weeks and months in advance because they don't know themselves or because of leave. They'll do it for example on a Friday for the next 5 days. Once those are gone, you'll have to wait until the next time they upload.
