HW, just a slight correction to what you said, you were sent for a JOC before sim check, because history had proven that very low houred pilots failed the sim check had they not completed a JOC beforehand.

Hi All,
Just a quick note to add to the already extensive thread. I applied for Flybe in Sept 2014 via the old portal and finally got an interview in late Jan. Pretty relaxed setup with 1 pilot and one HR member. Two people being interviewed at a time. It was predominately competence based questions and a few tech. Unfortuneately I didn't nail them and on my feedback (about 20 mins later) I was told I just fell short of the cutoff score to progress to the next stage, i.e. the sim check.
If I had passed that phase, the sim check was to be done that same afternoon. I don't have a JOC (MCC only) and they were aware of that, so I would suggest JOC is not the be all and end all at that stage but most likely helpful. The other person interviewing at the same time as me passed and went onto the sim check and she didn't have a JOC either.
This may change under the CTC regime, but that is a summary of my experience. I was told to re-apply in 12 months.
Hope that helps some out there.

Very strange wording from them. I never been to any interview with Flybe before.
Does anyone got the same one?

In response to record rates of attrition Flybe have employed a 'Minority Report' based method to meet recruitment needs. There are now 3 psychics in Exeter sending people out assessment invitations before they even knew they would apply.

At least we can see from Flybw's post that Interviews and assessments are taking place.
Though no invite to Flybe's CTC selection here. Obviously my 2000hrs ME TP time not what they are looking for.
I'm sure CTC will line them up with someone more suitable.......

I'd rather not give the exact date but it is in April. Once you are successful at stage 1 you are invited to book yourself onto an assessment day and there were a few to choose from, the furthest ahead I could choose was in June.
I applied on the day the new process was opened.

Hi there,
Does anyone has any idea what are those ”computer based tests” with CTC like, and if so, will you please be so kind to share your knowledge with us. PM maybe? It will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

@Sascha410 - check SkyTest or PilotAptitudeTest.com.
This may be of use to you: https://pilotaptitudetest.com/knowledgebase/flybe/
I have been invited to this through CTC but I'm unable to book a space either - anyone else had any issues booking?

Evening all, just wondering has anyone has any change in their application portal. I logged in just a few hours ago and found that my application required further information after having previously submitted everything they needed before. New info they required was Current TR and on which aircraft. I also noticed that my additional question section had now disappeared.... If anyone can shed any light on this it would be greatly appreciated!

Flybe CTC recruitment
I've had the following email from CTC this afternoon which probably explains it:
Thank you for submitting an online application to join Flybe
Due to the popularity of this campaign, we have made necessary improvements to enhance the application process.
We have added some additional fields to the online form and kindly request that you log back into your application and complete the new sections at your earliest convenience.
You can access your application by clicking on the link Flybe Application Form
You may notice that you are no longer able to see the essay style questions and answers that you previously completed. Please be assured that we have still hold the records of your answers internally.
Upon accessing your application, please click on the ‘Personal Details’ section completing the notice period at the bottom followed by ‘continue’. Please ‘continue’ through all of the sections completing any additional parts and submit.
Please note we will not be able to review your application further until all the additional fields have been completed.
The deadline to complete the additional information is Friday 22nd April 2016.
We greatly appreciated your co-operation.
We would like to wish you every success with your application.
Kind regards
CTC Aviation Selection Team
Make of that what you will! Probably no more than a request for more detailed information, but possibly a sign CTC are re-calibrating the BE recruitment criteria, not sure.
