Interview, addressing the interviewers

Going to be going to my 1st airline interview soon.

There will be a panel of interviewers. I would imagine there will be a Captain on the panel.

What is the etiquette when addressing the Captain?

Would I address him as Captain or by his 1st name?

Thanks

You probably won't need to address anybody by name as the panel is generally a collective, however be guided by how they are introduced to you. An interview is usually a formal meeting so (just like wearing a conservative suit and tie) keep the whole thing professional. Titles, mister, captain, etc. are the usual form of professional exchange at introduction, so you can't really go wrong by using them, if the situation arises.

I think it's safe to assume you can address him however he was introduced to you. But in all likelihood - believe it or not - you might not actually have to address him by name at all.

Best of luck with your interview!
