Job Opportunity Cyprus
Hey everyone,
as a low timer looking for a job I applicated to a Co Pilot job offer in Cyprus for King Air via an agency consulter LTD. T/R is being paid by the company. Operation is cargo. Got contacted via E-Mail for an interview with them in November. Fee for the selection process is € 90 which has to be paid after finishing the selection process. As I dont have any further information about the company and honestly don't know whether this is serious or not, I would like to know if there is anyone here who applied as well and recieved an E-Mail too?
Don't get me wrong but I have gotten carefully concerning these type of jobs/selection processes and just wondering if anyone here might know something about it...
thanks for your help!

Hello Skyman,
I applied to this job yesterday via latestpilotjobs.com. I got an answer from AeroContractus (that's how they call themselves) today offering me the same interview as you have been offered. I've got to say that there were some details that made me be a bit suspicious about the whole thing, but just to double check the job conditions, I went back to the website to check the ad. It wasn't there anymore.
As there is no info at all about AeroContractus on the internet, they've got no website, the email address is @mail.com and they're rushing me to book the interview, I decided to send an email to latestpilotjobs to find out why the ad wasn't there anymore. They came back to me saying that they decided to remove it for being a suspected scam.
To be honest I was excited about the offer, but it was too good to be true. No minimum requirements to fly a King Air with the TR paid by the company, that doesn't happens quite often.
Be careful out there guys, that sort of stuff is starting to be quite common now as I see.

warning
I probably received the same email with an invitation for an interview in Athens between the 11th and the 15th of november. I found out on another pilots forum that several guys received the same mail. I replied to the agency in order to get more information about the job and they replied promptly and rather precisely to my questions. However, I am quite suspicious about the 90€ requested after the interview. The recruiting cost should be charged to the Customer of the agency, not to the applicants. I think that windshear23 took a Wise decision to contact the latestpilot job team. Indeed, they removed the ad and they are now displaying a warning on the website with red bold lettering stating that this ad might be a scam. So I believe that the probablility that we're dealing with a scam is quite high, however I am not 100% sure.

I agree with the last response on here. I applied for the position also but didn't realise I had a response as it went straight into the junk folder, where I guess it belongs!! Most definitely seems to good to be true, with a basic pdf outlining the requirements, interview process etc that has been created in a few minutes!! Avoid and move on...
