Just wondering if there are any apps for ipad that I can buy that may give me some practice before the big day.

Hi guys,

Helpful thread. I am wondering with CTC aptitude tests coming up next week, whether five solid days of preparation using the above suggested tools would be adequate preparation to improve chances of passing the assessments.

Comments, suggestions or experience welcome.

I don't think you'll find much for iPad, given that the aptitude tests require use of an input device like a mouse, keyboard or joystick.

Check out these three:

CockpitWeb.com

LatestPilotJobs.com

PilotAptitudeTest.com

You could always get down to your local library and borrow a few books on the psychomotor, numeracy and technical reasoning aspects of the aptitude tests.

Good luck.

Hi, i'm preparing for the PILAPT tests, using latestpilotjobs.com

I have bought a joystick and am practicing " flight director". It seems that it is only possible to control either the vertical or horizontal line at any one time and not both.

This results in it being impossible to keep the two lines in the center.

Can someone tell me, is this how the test runs or is there some kind of problem and on the day the controls are going to react totally different.

Thanks

Hi there,

Am practicing for the CTC aptitude tests and would like to know if on the day you can choose to either use the joystick or the keys on the keypad, or is it just one or the other?

Kind regards

Friends have told me that using FSX is also a good way to tone your skills for the aptitude tests, so if you happen to have a copy of the game you could possibly practise ILS approaches and the like?
