Just received an eMail about the online assessment:
1) Can anyone tell me what kind of tests there are, and how to practice for them?
2) I'm currently unwell, and don't want to do the assessment if I can't concentrate properly, however, it says that after registering, you have 3 days to complete the selection, but I don't want to register until I'm better. Does anyone know how long I have got to register?
3) I emailed them a while a go, after submitting my application, apologising because I am in the UK, and, at 17, I only have GCSEs (Good ones, nonetheless), and we can;t do 7 subjects at A-Level like on the leavers Cert. Do you think they will have taken this email into account before selecting me, or is it an automatic selection process all on a computer with no real people behind it?
4) And, finally, how many people have been selected? I was applicant 400 and something, and my reference is ALCDT13, which I guess is Aer Lingus Cadet 13?
Thank you

I had the same login as you and was 421 I think. But I think the 421 might be the job reference number.
We all have the same login, but when you log in you do register with your name and your contact details etc.
Hopefully that helps

Ah right, I did wonder, and, for some reason, that didn't cross my mind, though normally, I am more logical than that... Have you taken the assessments yet, and what kind of things are they? Are they quite difficult / challenging, or are they quite easy?

Yeah I've done them. They weren't too horrendous on the whole. A couple of them were a bit of a brain mash and the numerical/verbal reasoning ones were very short on time, but said that nobody is expected to finish them. I only got about half way though them both

Cheers, are they 'standard' Pilapt tests then? And, does anyone know when we're likely to be told 'Yes, come to Dublin for second Selection', or, 'No, yer a failure'?

arr, why doesn't this forum have a reply/auto-quote function?
As someone mentioned earlier applications are still open until 29th of May. I would be very surprised if anyone heard anything before the 7th of June, but then that's just my assumption.

Just looking back to the 2011 thread the first people to take the online assessments waited roughly a month I think before news. May be quicker this time of course, and someone who knows better by all means correct me...

Once you start a test, you have to finish... but you can take different tests at different times within the 72 hours.
You are however allowed to practice the examples as many times as you like.

Tests complete
Well I concur with most of what has been said about the tests already on this thread. Just completed mine so time to play the waiting game again.
Good luck to one and all that are applying,
