Lightbulb SA Type rating - Licence Validation

Dear Fellow Pilots,

I would like to know what do the type rating college mean by licence validation in south africa for my CASA CPL-ME/CIR (is it a conversion? or?) and if you know what do I have to do exactly through out the "validation" and how long it might take through self study.

Air Law and Flight Planning. A week of study should suffice. PM me your email and I'll dig out some study material. Then a flight test.

Validation is based on a foreign licence, so your SA validation will extend the privileges of your CASA licence and should that expire, your validation will also expire. A few more exams will get you a conversion.

No PM yet. Let me know if you still need the study material and contact in SA CAA.
