Crime Record For CPL ! VERY URGENT!

Dear Friends;

I'm a resigned Air Force Pilot in Turkey. After resigning, I took the theoretical courses and exams that are needed to obtain a CPL(ATPL-FROZEN) license. My Air Force flights were not enough for CPL, so I flew with a Multi Engine Aircraft and I successfully passed the Multi Engine/IR Checkride.

The main problem is that I have a felony criminal record about theft (it is just a criminal fine and i can pay it, no problem) and Turkish Civil Aviation Authority may not accept my CPL License Application because of the criminal record.

Is there any way to get a CPL license in the USA, UK or anywhere else with my felony criminal record? I have everything needed in order to apply for a license (Theoretical Course Sertificates, Theoretical Exam Certificate for 14 Lessons, Flight Logbook, Radio Telephony Certificate, Air Force Flight Documents and enough flight hours)

Thank you very much for your help in advance..!

Your problem will be in getting a visa to enter the US with a felony conviction.
You will probably not be issued a visa.
Even a drink driving offense causes problems when applying for a US visa.
A US based permanent resident (green card holder) can and will be kicked out for a felony conviction as the US take a dim view on such matters.

You may stand a better chance within the EU.
The main problem is that I have a felony criminal record about theft (it is just a criminal fine and i can pay it, no problem)
just a criminal fine..... no problem wrong attitude.

As far as I am aware, the issue of a JAA licence will be issued regardless of your criminal record.

However, getting an airside pass to work in an airline will be a different matter. In the UK there are a number of convictions which will prevent you from obtaining an airside pass. I believe theft is one of them. Most airlines in Europe will request a police record from your country of residence with regard to you being free of criminal convictions. But, that will depend on the specific airline and the country they operate in.

I suspect most reputable airlines will take a fairly dim view of criminal convictions.

"just a felony'
The vast majority of FO,SO,CC here have worked hard- at least here in the USA.
They went to college, flight school, got a minimum or more hours, proved that they can pass multiple sims, have to deal with the current attitudes of today's employers...
To have you represent any position as FO, SO or any position that we worked so hard for is a disgrace.
I sincerely hope that you do not get a visa, let alone any position of rank in the USA. We do not need your kind.
This is not a 'personal attack', it is an obsevation of what you have done and your attitude that a felony is 'just a fine that I can pay'.
You do not stand with the best......

This really does depend on the operator you want to work for and the type of offence you committed. Your post may have lost some meaning in translation, perhaps with your use of the term 'Felony' which may hold a different meaning in Turkey than to our excitable US friends.

Serious offences are not dealt with by means of a fine in the UK. Fines are usually issued for very minor public disorder offences; littering; drunkness; very low level assaults causing no injuries etc.

I would find it hard to describe you as a disgrace if you have been the subject of a fine for committing one of those offences. Paritcularly as I do not undersatnd the full circumstances.

Good luck.

My guess is that the OP was an Air Force Pilot first and then it caught stealing thus resulting in him resigning, or else he had a criminal record before hand but never told the Turkish Air Force, and they later discovered it and forced him to resign once found out.

UK should'nt be a problem, they take everyone here, it will probabley be in your favour. Go for the interview when you get license and if they say you were not sucessful say, 'its because I am Turkish I didnt get the job'...Then they give you the job..Then goto council and say you want a house aswell..pretty freindley here...The worse you are the more you get on..Also all the Turkish Airlines are so fair to foreign pilots and give so many jobs away we owe you one

You should try Nigeria though as this would be a good thing to put on your CV. But maybe they think you are not a good thief as you got caught. At the interview say you have practised and are better thief now and you could steel fuel for them...

Funny how Airforce in Turkey its not a problem hahaha what a joke haha if we go for interview as foreigner at Turkish Airline we fail the Sim before we get in it....2 set of rules
