BMI online application problem
I ran into a snag trying to fill in the application.
While they clearly state that a JAR license is acceptable, on the second page of the application there is a required field where you need to insert your license number.
Now, where I come from the JAR license number consists of two letters and five numbers as in XY12345.
Trying to input that number in the field results in an error which says "license number must consist of five numbers and one letter", which I assume is a UK national licence thing?
The field can't be left blank either so I'm stuck on that page.
I know best would be to ask them and I will, but there doesn't seem to be any other way to contact them except call the website tech support number, which I'm sure won't have a clue on license numbers.
Has anyone else run into this problem?

Hello Jetay1
I have had the same problem with the BMI site. We have a license number with only numbers and the BMI database does not recognize it. However, if you do not fill in a license number, it will work and you will not get a error on the next page. The thing however, is that the email address you used for the first attempt is not excepted anymore. So, you need an extra email address for the BMI database.
Good luck.

bmi (mainline) has just recruited 4 pilots who are going through training now. These are fully employed FOs and nothing to do with those who paid a third party for TR and line training; that scheme finished in April.
