There wasn't much information shed, but I did get the impression that it was going to be different airlines than we've seen run them in the past - so It'll be interesting, although nothing was said about AL.

I think rumours can spread round very quickly during pilot careers expos regarding cadet schemes some very unfounded, but I must admit I've heard from an family friend who flys for the flag carrier that theres been talk about a BA cadet ship for quite an awhile but he's convinced it will just be the self sponsored pilot scheme again, but hey we can hope, it would be great to see some other airlines getting involved with a better deal than some of the recent schemes

That all depends on where you are from, if you happen to be an Emirates, Lebanese or Qatar resident then the schemes are very good for their home domicile airlines funding the course and often paying a salary.

absolutely, I 100% agree chromeo, its sad that we just get stuck with the likes of the easyJet MPL scheme but it'll be great if AL do run another cadet scheme with good T&C, pay etc, it'll be really great news for Irish nationals
