renewing or not makes no difference, expect that the guy who didn't renew for 3 years, will need maybe 1-2 hours extra in the sim.
outside of this, the test is the same and pretty easy example: take off, track VOR, ILS, missed, NDB approach, and land.
better to give your money to the airline, they will renew it for you and they will be glad to accept your money. this is how it works in this industry?show ur fat cheque if u want a JOB!
only dumbass tell you to renew IT.

advice for flyingguy1984
Hi,
If you live up North then please consider my advice and do the revalidation with Multiflight. The sim I used is a King Air but can be configured as a Senecca if you would prefer. It then just becomes a standard light pison twin with the familiar layout.
They can offer yopu practice first and with the test and test fee on top,you should have a lot of change from £600.
They are really friendly so why not give them a call? They do have a 'satelite' base at Blackpool now also, but not sure if they conduct the I/R revals' from there?
Hope this helps?

Hi Flyinguy,
The profile is standard departure followed by short airways tracking, then general handling (I think to satisfy the mult piston element), enter the hld then procede with an NDB approach,go aroung with engine failure then single engine ILS approach to land.I think that is it?
There would also be a circuit to land, if you were renewing in the real Aircraft I think, but much cheaper in the simulator as I have advised you
If you ring Multiflight, I am sure they will send you the exact profile in advance and they are very friendly.I have no connection with them by the way,but I have renewed with them 5 times,so I can recommend them as a good place to go.
Best wishes and good luck.
