Flight Instructor Jobs

So where r the flight instructor job for ICAO CPL/IR/FI holders?

I have 650 hours with 360 instructional time. I hold pak cpl/ir/fi
looking for fi job .....

Try Dubai , Emirates flight school (Aviation club) and horizon in al Alin .

They are nowhere, as the ICAO do not issue licences.

If you look at the licence closely, you will see that it was issued by a national or supranational regulator. That is where you probably stand the best chance of finding jobs that relate to this licence.

If by "pak cpl/ir fi" you mean it was issued in Pakistan, then that would be your answer. If you are looking further afield, then you would need to contact the relevant licencing authority for their conversion or validation terms. These are likely to vary depending on the terms each sets down for the purpose and depending on the applicants individual circumstances.

In my experience when looking for an FI job (in the UK) it is advantageous to appear enthusiastic and dedicated even if you are not. Visit all the schools in your area and make yourself known to whoever does the hiring and firing (not always the CFI!!). Expect exercise 6 as the lesson most likely to be aksed of you if you have a check ride with the CFI pending employement. Most likely route into a school is to be a 'supply instructor' (for want of a better description) whom they call up at short notice to fill in for another regular instructor. Pay will be poor, aircraft can be badly maintained, changeable weather can scare the **** out of inexperienced UK fliers (unless very vigilant) so always have options when you go up. Always visually check your tanks and don't take it for granted when the previous instructor says there is 'x' amount in the tank. Treat every trial lesson as a potential new student and above all enjoy it - despite the crap it remains one of the fun jobs left in aviation.

The guy has a Pakistani licence, therefore he is not qualified to operate a G-reg aircraft, therefore you guys needn't waste your time telling him to apply to Leading Edge or any other UK or European school.

Jawad, if your licence is issued in Pakistan then you have the right to fly in Pakistan and nowhere else. You will need to do the national licence issue tests of the country you wish to fly in, if you wish to work as an FI there. In Europe, that means a large number of difficult and expensive ATPL written tests plus a short conversion course / flight test for the CPL and FI rating.

The licencing issue is also quite separate from the issue of a work visa / permit, which you will need in order to work in any country other than your own.
