Air Arabia interview
You will have 2 days for the interview.
1st day :
- Tech quiz (general knowledge)
- Group Discussion
- Some stupid test
- Personal Interview
2nd day : (if you pass)
- Sim Session : T/o, Engine fire, vector ILS 12 Dubai, G/A, vector ILS 30 Dubai, Ldg (easy)
You'll have to wait 2 weeks for the result. If you pass they will send you tickets with the cheapest airline.
Training :
1. 4 days sim session (They might extend for 2 days sim)
2. Blue line pilot's (takes you for about 3 months before you release)
Comments :
- Living in Sharjah is crap
- You'll have to have your own car
- To buy a car you need UAE driving license
- To apply driving license takes you about 3 months and 70% Arabia pilots they failed the driving exam and they have to do it again
- Apartment price is very high, for F/O Arabia will give you 10k dirhams/m Captain 12k dirhams/m and you'll have to pay 80k-120k/year for 2 bedroom apartment, 3 beds 140-160k and to rent apartment is a headache
- Flying 80-100 hrs/month
- Night flight is very tiring but the money is good
- Very bad roster, you can make a deal with the rostering guy
- If you have 2 babies less then 4 years old, Sharjah is not a good place to live with your family
- Upgrade : "FORGET ABOUT IT" unless you can lick the people in management
- Carefull with some pilots, they have connection with the owner...if they dont like you, just pack your things
- Pilots : 40% Tunisian, 30% Egyptian, 30% others (Central American, Brits, Eastern Europe, Portugese, Filipina, Malaysia, Brazil, Syrian and many other
- You'll not sure about your life in Air Arabia. Captain may downgrade to F/o, F/o can easily get sacked so my advise is DO NOT take any loan
- Be prepare for PPC, if they think you're not good enough even you pass it already, they will call you after sometimes to do it again.
- Be nice with pinoy ladies in the office, they'll help you alot
Overall :
I hope those will help
Good Luck

Hi, Ive also applied for the ab-initio scheme. It states ,on their website, that interviews will be conducted on the 29th-30th June 2010.
Anyone been called and what experience do you have?
Are they looking at candidates from Europe/USA etc? or is there a preference for Middle Eastern candidates? Thanks

Air Arabia HR?!
Hi there guys.
I have tried to locate an email address or phone number to contact the Human Resources Dept for Air Arabia directly as i have a few questions for them before i submit my application finally. Are any of you able to help me out with this? I have completed an enquiry form a couple of times on the website, but it appears more sales/flights related and am yet to recieve a reply from anyone.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Hi all
Hi all
I applied for the Ab Initio scheme almost 4 months ago, and I've updated my application regularly but I haven't heard anything either. After phoning around I got though to the HR line, but nobody picks up.... lol.
anyone got a direct line number to HR?
UK CAA (F) ATPL, CPL, IR, 200 hours

Well guys no good news.....went to Air Arabia HQ today - sat for an hour and finally met the HR manager; Mr. S.S - very nice person for taking the time to talk to me - but he told me that the date was removed because they have too many guys (200 applications) willing to go for Air Arabia's p2f program; so there is nothing definite about the ab initio program.
And at this time he told me they are more interested in taking guys for the 500 hr pay to fly program (200,000 AED) - in fact 3 guys for the program ( 1 from India, 2 from Iran) were there at that time and I spoke to them; they had applied for the Second Officer position, been interviewed in december, and out of 18 applicants 6 were selected. They were now called (June) to start their simulator............after the 500 hours ''if'' there is a F/O position they will get it........
so guys looks like this one is out of the window.....will be 5-6 months at least before we hear anything, if we do at all.............

not any more, maybe for people who has relations, like some one who has a father manager there or a S. Captain.. etc.
and after compaining against them to the minister of transportation, they did a new requirment which is only in kuwait and for the citizens only but not for thier sons who holds a frozen ATPL as we do.. which is pass a precalculas course with kuwait univ. and the math exam! in general its a trap for us
we are suffaring here
