ICAO ATPL holder: where can I get 300 hrs A320/A330/B737 or 100 B777?
Hi Guys,
I am an Australian ATPL holder with 3500 hrs including 2 crew turboprop regional experience. No jet experience or type rating to date.
I am considering overseas contracts (e.g. India 100 hrs B737NG or B777 / Korea 300 hrs A330 or B737NG) in particular. I'm open to others also and wonder if anybody can point me in the right direction of where I can get fair-dinkum time on type experience (once appropriately type rated)?
I have seen various posts on eagle jet international - no one has given any own experience for the ICAO 737NG and 737EFIS programs - seems quite confusing - what's the truth? Where do blokes undertake their training? Is it just a scam or really worth the effort and expense?
What about A320 programs for ICAO licenced pilots? Any experiences?
Where does anybody having done an A340 program get a job ultimately? Singapore Airlines? Cathay? Who? Would airlines of this calibre look seriously at an Eagle Jet graduate?
Is the Classic B747 program of any value - few operators using them (except maybe Air India)? Any others? Is this just a waste of $$?
I would prefer to join a company directly rather than through a Rishworth for example. Any one able to shed some light? PM me if you prefer but I would think there'd be others interested like me.
Would like to advance my career but don't want to make a poor financial / career decision.
Any genuine help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
TJ

try thomas cook,
I believe they are offering an A320 TR and 150hours on type over a 6 month contract, all for about 32,000.
I may very well be wrong but thats what I heard in the last few weeks

Look at pegasus airlines in turkey. I did the 737 rating with hours. was ok if you can be a bit open minded to their culture. i thought it was a good experience and the flying was good.
