FR interview without passaport

Hello guys!
I've applicated for Ryanair one week ago with Dalmac.
They convocated me for interview on 9/25 in Rome.
At moment i haven't EU passaport even if i've requested it on my city police station. I will have it between 40 days. I've writed to Dalmac to ask if i can go to interview without passaport but with a paperwork that say that my passaport application is processing.
Somebody know if i can accept this invitation?

you are in Naples, you want to go to Rome. What on earth would you need a passport for?

I think he means it is mandatory to have an EU passport to apply to Ryanair, not to go to rome....
