Fire Bombing Europe....

Does any have contact details of fire bombing operators in europe, and what times they ask for?

I think (hope!) I am near to what they may need...

I looked into this several years ago and found that the majority of Fire Bombers in Europe are Military, French, Spanish, Italian etc. Canada is worth a look, as they employ Civilian Crews but at the time I did my TC license the recession hit over there too.

It is still very difficult to get into I'm afraid.

In Italy you need al least 1000TT, you should send your CV to "SOREM".

(They will tell you to pay 30.000 euros with the salary you get)
The contract should be temporary (six months a year, for three years, obviously during summer) until you don't finish paying the type rating.

(I have heard you earn 5.000euros minus 2.500 for the type rating costs).
The airplanes they use is the Bombardier Canadair (both turbo prop and piston engine)

Bye and Good luck
