A320 Type Rating and airline placement

A friend is just going through a 320 type rating with a company in the UK, he is out in Amsterdam at FSC at the moment. He says he is going to get placed with an Italian airline when he finishes. Has anyone else done this scheme before. I am working for easy and have never come across them.
