ATR 42/72 jobs .... WHERE !!!
HI everyone , I´m desperate to find a job as a FO on ATR 42/72, but I have written to most of the airlines operating the ATR and the mayority of them dont even answer , I have JAR licence and type rating although not experience on the actual airplane (just simm time), although I´m willing to relocate anywhere ,where I can fly it , Asia ,Africa, Caribbean ,etc ,etc .
would you be able to help me ?, my total time is 525 h. I speak spanish and english .
Thank you very much in advance Guys.

Hola Pablo!
Try http://www.flydae.com/jobs.htm
They have been recruiting people with the type rating and NO experience on type quite recently. Even though they don't advertise F/O positions drop them an email, that's how a friend of mine got a job offer from them.
Buena suerte compañero!

Hola Pablo,
have you tried Aer Arran here in Ireland. According to their website they have vacancies for FO's and exclusively use the ATR 42/72 aircraft.
http://www.aerarann.ie If you click on the "about us section" you will see a link to current job vacancies.

I think topfly is looking for ATR pilots as well.
I heard from a friend currently flying ATR that the TRTO skyblueaviation is about to buy an ATR 42 so it will require another 10 pilots.
Naysa in canaries are receiving completely new ATRs I think.
Don't worry to much because it is going to be more and more difficult to find experienced ATR pilots on the market (all gone to easyJet, Monarch, Ryanair, and so on). Companies like air contractors and Aer arann who used to require at very least 400 to 500 hours on type are now struggling to find ATR type rated guys even with no hours. They don't want them, but they just have no option ! And very soon it will be even worse and they will start to bond people for sure !
It is a very good aircraft to start the career. But nowdays with CTC, Storm aviation, Gecat, Ryanair Cadet, it is cheaper and more interesting to go directly on medium Jets with only 200 hours rather than paying a turboprp TR !
Good luck !
Try also Airlinair, they prefere french speakers but now they have nobody willing to work for them your appplication might be very welcome

Aer Arann runs a type rating program to train their future FOs, so I'm not sure they have anything against guys with no hours on type...
Keep applying and if you don't get any answer, call them.

How should we understand that?
You may understand yourself when you reach your first 500 hours on type, you will notice a significant difference

Does anybody have any contact details for the likes of NAYSA or ISLAS Airways, looked on websites for many ATR operators, it`s either not there or not in English.
Do you know if they even take English speaking ATR drivers?

Otherwise, they do prefer Canarian drivers (no matter if they can speak english)
