Base training

Dear all,

I really need your help. I started a SSTR but they have been a little bit slow with the Base training. Their main problem: capacity. Seeing that my training will expire soon I started to look for TRTO who are willing to provide the base training. Up till now the only response I get is that since I didn't do the theoretical part with them, they can't accept me for their base training. So is there some one here that knows if there's a TRTO that can provide me the Base training without having done the whole training with them? I would appreciate every advise.

Thanks lads.

Regards,

Patrick

On which aircraft would you like to perform base training?

GECAT send their guys to Cyprus, you could give the carriers their a call and sound them out, however GE may offer a reciprocal agreement for free sim time in return. I dunno, just a suggestion

GECAT uses IAGO solutions, or at least to; which in turn used Cyprus Airways for the base training. IAGO are based in Gatwick, England if memory serves.

Found this on the interweb:
<<Cyprus Airways - the Cypriot flag carrier - has signed a pilot training deal with the UK’s IAGO Solutions - an established partnership of type rating instructors and examiners providing individual commercial airline pilot testing and training services.

As part of the agreement, Cyprus Airways, which operates twice weekly flights from Dubai to Larnaca, will provide take off and landing training to IAGO’s trainee pilots specialising in the Airbus aircraft family.

“IAGO selected Cyprus Airways due to its impeccable safety record and also the fact that the airline was one of the launch customers for the A320 aircraft,” said Stavros Kyprianou, Head - Middle East and Gulf, Cyprus Airways.

“Our pilots are well experienced in operating the Airbus A320 aircraft and this agreement is a reflection of the industry’s confidence in Cyprus Airways.”>>

All the best,
Tom.

base training, the most stupid and hypocritical thing I have ever seen in my life.
when the world is worry about global warming with his consequences, the government ask us to burn 2000-3000 kg of kerozene for our 6 landings.

Well not really, there is a very good reason for it.

Global warming is mainly a function of sun spot activity and not necessarily CO2 (which is not a particularly potent 'greenhouse' gas). Bacteria produce 80% of all CO2 released by living organisms on earth....which includes human activities.. industrial/aviation sources etc. You shouldn't always believe what you read in the newspaper.....or what you read on this site.

Thanks for all the reactions guys!
Also good to know how much pollutants I injected in the air when I was doing the base training!
In the end I ended up doing the base training in Slovenia with Adria. Actually it was a nice experience! Nice crosswind landings training!!
