Fantastic stuff flyfish, and well done in landing the job with GSM...I have spoken to a few guys who work for them and they say it is a fantastic airline..I am green with envy!

You will enjoy yourself living up here in Scotland, both Glasgow and Edinburgh are great places to live!

Best of luck for the future

Thanks Kilo, but I am going to wait until it happens before I change that profile. Wouldn’t want to tempt fate!
PM is fully answered, hope it all helps.
Kind regards

Flyfish,
Excellent diary, really enjoyed reading it.

I'm also in Norfolk about 35-40 mins from Norwich Airport. Where did you do your CPL and IR training as I'm battling through the distance learning at the moment and thinking about where to do the flying courses. Any tips?

Hi Waryhawk,
I completed my CPL/IR at Stapleford as it was commuting distance for me.
(45 mins West of Norwich myself).
Having a job and a family, it was important to be able to keep working and be home each night.
Great school,I enjoyed my time there, just disappointed I didn’t get to play in the new Diamond twins they were getting just as my training was coming to an end.
There is a long thread all about Stapleford that may be worth reading if you are considering it, particularly the bit about them being busy and the need to book well in advance.
That said, of course if unlike me you do not have to worry about being away from home for months at a time, I would advise visiting a few schools to get a feel for what suits you.
Good luck wherever you choose.

Flyfish, thanks very much for your reply, I've sent you a PM about your CPL/IR course. Hope the line training is still going well.

Goodness I haven't seen the diary for ages, brings back some memories.

Hi Mungo Man, yes working hard with great people and loving the 738. The hours are racking up nicely , and just about to start ETOPS.

Stick with the study Mark, its well worth it when you get there.

Flyfish.
