Hello Again 738 Driver
You’re very welcome to the information, out of date as it is.
One snag that you might find with applying to RYR is that they seem to like employing direct entry captains with the rating and lots of command hours or 200hr cadets with no airline experience at all. As an experienced FO with a rating and over 1000hrs you fall in the gap between the extremes that RYR prefer.
Obviously it would be completely inappropriate for you to chuck in your current job to go chasing RYR as you might never receive an invite to the assessment day but if you are owed some leave and can squeeze an MCC into the leave period then go for it.
The worst they can do is not invite you and you continue in your current FO job until something else comes along, which compared to a lot of people (including myself) is a very privileged position.
All the best

If I'm right they just sent me a confirmation email saying that my application and my cv upload was still in progress (21st of june) and the girl called me right away a couple of days later (23rd) asking me couple of questions again about my training , and finally she will give you the date for the interview .

Pacrion, you're right.
Thing is, I'd like at least to have the chance to get in.
For sure I'm saving money without going, but in the same way I'm sure I won't get in without trying.
Thanks for the good luck wish anyway
Cheers

RyR have so many applications now, that they can afford to be picky, and I would not be surprised if they had such standards.
I have heard of guys who partialled, who at least was called in for an interview, but the guys I know did not get a job. Competition is very high to get in with RYR at the moment.

RYR pilot selection
Hey Guys,
Just a quick question...do Ryanair care whether an applicants IR is a First time/First Series or Second Series Pass or do they just expect an IR period?

In general terms a pass is a pass, so as long as your not a complete plank, then they will be more than happy to take your credit card, training pilots is now an important source of revenue, ask yourself one question, if there are type rated people out there, with time on type, why would they employ you? Yep you got it in one, your cheaper and if you screw up, they don't give a toss because there's another I-robot behind you with 30k Euro to blow

If this is the case why oh why will they not offer me an interview! Answer is because Im 34 (33 when I applied 14 months ago). Its very frustrating for people not in the 21 to 29 age group not to even get a shot at an interview. Our money is the same as younger guys and many of us will probably leave after 2 years and go down to sandpit as allot of FR pilots are doing anyway.
