cranwell tests
Hi - sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I wasn't sure where to post...
I am due to go to Cranwell in the summer to take my aptitude tests as part of the selection process for the Army. I was wondering if anybody knows what is involved exactly at this stage of selection - is it purely the aptitude tests or is there also a medical? I am aware that the Army do not require 20/20 vision for potential pilots, but does anybody know what the exact eyesight requirements are? I can't seem to find out anywhere.
Thanks,
pre3sg.

Details will probably be found in the Military Aircrew form.
http://www.rafcareers.com/yourmove/tioaptitude.cfm
Here you will find details on the OASC selction process for the RAF. A recent Fleet Air Arm applicant friend of mine says the aptitude tests are standard across the 3 services.
PM me if you want as i still have some more detailed info from OASC knocking around from a few years ago. detailing exercises etc.
This information will also be freely availiable at your local AFCO.
hope this helps

This thread details the eyesight req for RAF and RN aircrew - the Army may have a lower standard.
Search the Mil forum for "aptitude" and you will find plenty more info - although it is RN/RAF oriented.

MOD aptitude tests
Hello all,
Just one thing to remember when applying for the military; you may only sit the aptitude tests twice in total, not twice per service. If you just dip the OASC aptitude tests then go straight to the Navy (for example - plus they have more jobs at the moment....) and then dip theirs, you will not be able to sit the aptitude tests at OASC again.
If you provide the Army Careers Office with a copy of your prescription they should (should...) be able to send it to their specialists and they will let you know whether in principle you are fit Army aircrew.... I know the RAF offer this service.
Hope this is of use....and good luck.
