Questions on Emerald

Hi all.

I have suddenly been invited to attend a ground course on Shorts 360 with Emerald to join a holding pool. Self sponsored of course.........

I have read a lot of threads about Emerald, mostly not very positive. Could anyone give me some facts on the current situation at Emerald? Bases, routes, pay, safety etc. Any history of people getting bonds instead of paying their TR?

Everything would much appreciated.

Cool ground school

I too have been offered a place on the ground school. I don't know much about the company but being put into the holding pool after the ground school is better than paying for the whole type rating then waiting.....and waiting.....etc
They have a few bases around coventry, liverpool and abedeen (I think), but its a golden opportunity and although we may have to pay for the TR, after that you will be doing what you set out to do...
ofcourse we would all prefer not to have to pay for the TR but...

Until about a year ago, people were bonded at Emerald. It is only recently they have started the SSTR route. Why? Because of the number of letters from people offering to pay for a rating.

Would I pay to work for Emerald....... No chance, but I'm not searching for my first job anymore.
