I thought everyone knew the two subjects you should not take into the cockpit are:

1. Religion
2. Politics

In order to get in a cockpit you can be any combination of the above, but you should neither hide or promote them. Aircraft operate according to the laws of physics, not Jesus/Allah/whoever.

Reckon there will be no problem with british airlines, Im surprised anyone even considers it to be a potential issue.

how's about the american ones though? , given the rediculous and un-necessarily paranoid attitude their joke authorites are taking towards potential "terrorism".

A mate of mine( although just after 9/11, but that's no excuse) was refused entry when he tried to go over there on holiday apparently due entirely to his pakistani name and ethnic origins, dispite being as english as fish and chips.(unless there was something else I don't know about).

I was told to anglicize my name after having been offered the job..... can't seem to recall clasius clay having the same problem with people not being able to pronounce his new name!!
Whats in a name anyway???? I love flying. End.

Muslim or not is irrelevant

I am an asian working for a major UK AIRLINE AND WE HAVE, asian pilots of all religions working for us........religion doesn't playa part in this industry in europe....go for it and good luck!
