flying in the caribbean

Hey guys i am new to pprune and am looking for some information on flying in the caribbean. I have a New Zealand CPL, MEIR and C-catagory instructors rating with 450hr tt and 100 instructing.
I am looking at getting out of nz and moving forward in my career, someone told me the caribean is a good place to start with work being relatively easy to find and a good lifestyle to go with it.
I was wondering if anyone has any comments to make on this and also what licence conversion would I require to fly over there.
