Hey there,
dont worry if you mucked on the eye hand co ordination test, you could put it down to nerves, espically if it was your first one they can be very daunting!!!
With regards to Gulf air, or any other application dont be surprised if you dont hear from them at all until they are ready to recruit. I would recommend sending them a CV every 2-3 months or every time it circumstances change to make sure you are on their data bases and havent been deleted.
And last but not least keep your chin up and sprits high, something will come along. And learn from your mistakes look for the positive things taking on board any help you can get.

I believe there are some aspects of psychometric tests which you can not change, however there are many parts that can be improved vastly. Also, different tests can have different results completely. I personally have completely flunked one set of tests and aced another just 2 months later. It really makes no sense to me and confirms my suspicion that the only real way to assess flying ability is to sit you in a sim. I'm certain that how you are feeling on the day must be a huge factor too.
Why don't you invest in a book or two on psychometric / aptitude testing? I'm sure you'll find it useful in understanding what you can and can not change and how to do better next time. If there really is a problem, it's best to know now rather than shelling out thousands of yours (or possibly someone else's) hard-earned cash to find out.
Good luck!

Please do not use text-speak on this board. We do not limit you to 160 characters per message, so there is no need for it, and it is very fatiguing to read. Which may well explain why it took a while for anyone to answer you.

Thank you colette, I also took the same aptitude test which is named pilapt, where in the eye to hand coordination which is called vor test i scored just 1. My hand just kept shaking as it was the first test, i think i was nervous. I was not able to control the joystick, and the two intersecting lines just goes in the opposite direction of your joystick movement.
