Oxford graduate recruitment rates

Hi all,

I noticed the page below on oxford aviation's website; it lists how many graduates have been recruited so far this year.

Interestingly it says that the bulk of the non-APP gradudates that have landed jobs did so before the APP students started graduating - so it looks like APP has had a significant effect on standard ATPL graduates' sucess rates when jobhunting.

To put these figures into perspective does anyone know how many people graduate from the APP and standard courses per month/week/year ?

Here's the linky:

http://www.oxfordaviation.net/career/success.htm

Cheers,

PD

In terms of graduation per year you should probably ask the Oxford management i'm sure they're not afraid to tell you!

Looking at the integrated course start dates : http://www.oxfordaviation.net/courses/dates.htm

Oxford have 9 courses planned this year from Jan-Sep.
On average there are about 16 people per course so make that 9 x 16 = 144 supposed graduates per year. Bear in mind thought not everyone on the course will complete because they are not happy/inacaple/suffer problems etc. So i would say about 125 per year graduate from Oxford just from the integrated scheme.

I remember going to an Oxford seminar not so long ago and the director there said about 200-250 (cant remember the figure so i'm estimating) graduate from oxford per year, so that means about another 100-125 ish graduate per year from the modular means.

I think the total number of graduates in the UK is about 400 ish.

Someone please correct me if i am wrong but as far as i know these figures are about right!

All the best

Hi,

Take a look at the oxford forum, it might contain some of the info that you're looking for.

Try this one first, it seems to have a lot of employment info!

Ah, so most of OAT's studes prior to 2002 were airline sponsored. Well that certainly explains the 86% recruitment figures quoted round that time by the slimy marketing guy. Having been sponsored by an airline you would bloody well hope they ended up in a job.

Beware OAT marketing propaganda. "Look into my eyes, look into my eyes, not around the eyes, in my eyes".
