Jet2 Interview

Hi Folks

At last after 3 years of receiving Dear Johns in the post (for those airlines that bother to reply), I have received an invite to Jet2 for an interview (praise the Lord, and Glory be).

Any hints'n'tips about the sort of questions I'm likely to face and what to practise on test wise, would be extremely useful.

Thanks

Lisa Simpson

Do a quick search. I've out loads on here before having done it all myself.

Thanks for the reply, in fear of sounding like a whinger, I've run a search and most of the replies are via Private Messages, so I'm still on the hunt for as much info. as possible.

Ok here goes.....

Personality questionnaire. About 250/300 questions (more like statements) and you tick a box whether it's true, mostly true, not sure, mostly untrue, untrue - you get the gist!
No specific time limit, but obviously don't sit there for hours.

Verbal/Numerical reasoning - you'll have been sent practice paper. Go to the website of the people who do the tests (SHL?) and do the practice stuff there. Nothing too difficult, just time restrictions. With the numerical I whizzed through and did all the things I could do straight away firstm then went back to the ones that took a little more time. Verbal - one of those that you'll either find easy or a pain in the bum!
They did say that the results wouldn't weigh too heavily on the outcome of the day.

Interview - very relaxed. Three on one. No tech questions. All about you. Your training, current job, why Jet2, where you see yourself in 10yrs etc etc. They're looking at you as a person and whether they could sit with you for hours a day.

If you don't have a typr-rating, check the contract. £3000 upfront to do a jet handling course, only if you pass that will you get to do the TR. And that's £20,000 paid by you. No employment until TR finished so a bit of a gamble. Mind you, that was the contract as of last Nov so might have changed.

Good Luck! Any more Q's, PM me!

hey there!

Just a quick question on what training background you had ie intergrated or modular, with or without type rating?

would be good to know how people are doing it and getting at least a look in!!
