A word of Advise from the recruitment specialists
Hi there, I just wanted to ask a question to all of you that are working in European Airlines in the recruitment departmnt,
I have been working almost a year in Africa, built up some turbine time and some multicrew time (to be honest I almost ready to unfreeze my ATPL), nice experience but I am European and I want to get closer home!
I looked around and I applyed to many arlines but no positive answer, I wanted to ask if you think that the reason could be connected to my "African experience"?
When you look at Cvs and you see that these guys have been flying there, is it a bad thing?
Please let me know, I want to get a brighter picture

No flying experience is bad experience... but as you know African flying is very different to flying here.
If I were in your 'velt skoene' I would get any job in the UK/Europe albeit glider towing, taxi, instructor, whatever... just to show that you can us a radio and nav with plenty of controlled airspace about! ... Then you will be a know quantity to the employers AND have all the hands on skills that Afrika gives.
Good luck.

Thanks D380,
I will try to follow your advise, but I was an instructor before and I flew both in Uk and US! Maybe I will have to refresh a bit....
Thanks anyway!
Good luck and good flying
