Should you be selected for assessment we will contact you= if we're going to select you we will contact you or

My guess would be...
"if we're going to select you we will contact you "
I think its a Dont call us we'll call you scenario. Which doesnt mean its negative.
Try and find out how long they normally take to get back in touch with people and if that time has passed defo give them a friendly courtesy call to see how things are and jog their memory.
