advice for young wannabe

)hi everyone, im a 16 year old wannabe (well 17 in a few weeks)im currently studying at glasgow university doing an aeronautical engineering degree.

i received 6 1's 2 2's, 2 A's 2'B's n a C in skool and hav recently just returned from florida after obtaining my ppl and night rating.

since ive come back ive "caught the flying bug" so to speak and now im even more eager to get a job flying asap than ever before (which is a very large amount trust me )

anyway, i would happily start at the bottom and work my way up to the top, money is not an option for me all i want is to be flying any aircraft to anywhere with anything on board regularly.

does anyone know what i should do? im far to young for sponsorship etc.

any feedback would be great people. thank you

Firstly good choice of degree. Should stand you in good stead in the future and it will give you a good grounding in all things aeronautical. Main thing is to stick at it, it gets bloody hard in the 2nd yr...........

Have you considered joining the University Air Squadron? They fly from Glasgow international and I am sure you would stand a chance of getting in seeing as though you have demonstrated an interest in flying. That gives you more of an insight into military flying side of things if thats the way you fancy going.

With regards to the Civvy side, well I suggest you take a day off and read through this website, it is full of useful gen and paints a pretty accurate if rather gloomy picture about getting to be an airline pilot.

good luck
