Realistic prospects

I'm a 35 year old photographer with a CPL and about 400 hrs, no IR or twin rating, never flown anything bigger than a pa-28.

Do I stand any chance of getting a job flying freight or will have to go through the ball ache of doing the exams again to get ATPL? I don't mind resitting Nav to get an IR, but I don't think I could face the rest of the exams again.

Would really appreciate your honest opinions.

Cheers

The fact is you are never going to get a job flying anything if you don't do the exams. Why should flying freight be any less onerous than flying SLF?
If you are serious about flying as a career, you've got to put in the time and effort.
Sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear.
Good luck,

Cheers for your frankness, it was the reply I was expecting. I'll keep my fingers crossed for an increase in instructor salaries.

We get these questions from time to time on Freight Dogs. I've moved this thread over for your info on Wannabees.
