CX requirements

I have been told conflicting things about the requirements to apply for a s/o possition with Cathay. I know that they require ICAO ATPL written exams to have been passed. Would I need to have completed the 14 JAA exams or would my FAA ATP mean I would just have to do some conversion exams if accepted? Any light shed on this would be great.
Thanks.
