Wink Recruitment company or direct applications?

I am interested in what people opinions are?

Would you go through a recruitment company or apply directly for a job as a pilot within a company yourself?

Is there any benifits in either?

Am going through the grind at the moment

Simple really

I would apply direct to all the airlines that accept direct applications. No point relying on some other company to do what you should be doing yourself.

I would apply via a recruitment firm if I were applying to a carrier who would not accept direct applications and the recruitment firm in question had been selected to do the donkey work for the airline.

If I were applying for a job advertised in the back of Flight, which just gives the recruitment company reference then I would apply to them quoting that refernece.

Now if we are talking things like the CTC scheme, well I'd apply direct entry (if I qualified) and through CTC if I really wanted to work for that airline and CTC was my only option.

It's not rocket science really!!

Best of luck.
