Hour Building

I'm currently hour building in a rather thirsty twin....does anybody know of any destinations which have cheap landing fees and Avgas, similar to Jersey/Guernsey......however more Mediterranean/Eastern....sick of seeing EGJJ.

And please, no wise cracks about flying to Orlando !

Try France - landing fees are generally very cheap (between 3 and 10euros) and they are very friendly towards General Aviation (something that the UK seems to lack!). However if you are looking at southern France, avoid Bairritz - they charge silly landing fees and handling fees as well even for a warrior!!!

Get a copy of the Pooleys guide to France (can get it from transair) might help.

Enjoy

Ever thought about Switzerland?

If your twin is really thursty, it may be an option; even if the landing fees are a little higher then in france, fuel is priced at about 1 Swiss Franc per litre tax free if you go on an international flight! 1SFR is about 0,65 Euro.. And Basel is about 50 Euro including customs..
fuel price in france is about 1,35 Euro, but nearly no landing fee.. LFGB for example is for free!! Nice little airfield nearby Basel..
