Rang them the other day and was told they had finished their recruitment for FO's and had filled all positions for the next 6 months.

They haven't finished their recruiting for the next 6 months ... they just don't know yet, about the next wave of drivers that are about to move on to big shiny orange things 
The interview can't be that bad, I heard a story the other day that their CP recently interviewed three FO's in 45 minutes (and they all passed).
