Place and Schoold to get an Instructor Rate
Hi!
I'm very close to finnish my ATPL and i was thinking about to get an instructor rate in the UK, because someone told me there are jobs available as instructor. I would also appreciate if any of you can affirm if this information i was given is true.
The biggest problem is that i'm spanish and don't know where is the best place, zone or region to fly in the uk and the school to get the instructor rating.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

You should check out the Flying Instructors and Examiners forum on this website as there is quite a bit of specific information there.

The UK CAA posts lists of all of the schools approved for flight training which would be a good place to start your search.

Buenos tardes
If you are going to instruct make sure that you choose an FTO that will offer you some work when you are qualified. Tayside aviation in Scotland will usually offer some work or even a full time job to most of their FIC students.
Do you really want to be a flying instructor anyway? I've been doing it for a few years now and have found that the experience has not helped me in any way towards getting an airline job. I have 1500 hours, the airlines seem to prefer people with little experience and low hours.
If you want an airline job I think that you would be much better getting a job as an refueller or despacher or even working in the ops dept. of an airline, there you will be making contacts instead of teaching PPLs how to fly, you would also earn a lot more than an instructor.
I don't want to put you off instructing, I just think that if you want to be an airline pilot there are better and cheaper ways of making contacts.
All the best
