PICTURE PLEASE for an application form??
Hi all,
After having sent 269cvs, I am starting to recieve Application forms...thought spending all this money on stamps would be enough.
But NO,....they want a picture of my pretty face too...didnt they get Im applying for a Flight deck job not a Cabin Crew one???...
I wouldnt state a name, but one airline asked me for TWO pictures...are they giving them away to their secretaries??
Whats that all about?

never fear, nothing quite as sinister as RVR suggests......!!!
Many want photographs to attach to their forms or file which they open for you, it helps to identify you on day 1 and also for reviewing notes taken during selection procedures. Lokking at your mugshot can bring the whole interview flooding back to the interviewer who may have seen several on the same day and countless over a week!

Just as an irrelevant aside, when recruiting people for a job in a previous life, as it was a customer-facing role we took their piccie at interview. Those who were uncomfortable and terrified (of the camera, not me) didn't get the job as we felt it likely they would also be uncomfortable with customers..
