Any good sponsorship experiences/success stories?
Seems like alot of people are very negative about self-sponsorship schemes - obviously very expensive. So, are there any happy people out there who have paid their dosh and are now happy flying bigger equipment? Any success stories out there? What are you flying?

I am one of the "lucky b*stards" that 1.32vmd happily refers to. (and dont I know it! ) I paid for my training meself at one of the bigger FTO's, managed to get through it without too much hair loss or damage to my sanity and am now ripping about the skies in an A320. I admit I was seriously lucky to end up where I am but I'm not the only one out there so don't give up! I know of at least a dozen or so folk who paid for training themselves and are now sitting in the RHS of jets - put the work in, grab a lucky piece of heather, a horseshoe and one of those leprechaun things if you can and keep everything crossed. Worked for me!
Am lucky enough to be living my dream now (even if I did have to move south!) Hope this helps.
