......... I am trying not to hijack this post
Chaps, have you factored in loss of earnings when training??? What happens if you fail any part of the course???? I must admit, I did the calcs myself recently and came out with a figure slightly higher than that.
The way I see it, you do an intergrate course with flyBE and the only difference is you´ve got to stump up the cash in one go ...... granted that is no easy thing to do and before you ask, no I don´t have the cash, i´ll jump that hurdle IF I get there! If you can afford it, its gotta be worth it!!!!!

Auto, I think you'll find that if you fail any part of the course, for example having to re-take 1 or 2 exams or the IR test , Cabair/Flybe will expect you to pay for these.Loss of earnings will surely be encounted whilst training either modular or intergrated and you certainely wont get paid whilst training! Best of luck to those going for it.

Vortilon,
Of course, that is pretty obvious ..... I was just getting a little concerned that people had the idea 32k spent with FLYBE could be better spent going the modular route.

Autofly..
I did not include loss of earnings as that depends on the individual, so far I am about to complete my CPL/ME and so far I have done every bit of flying and study in my own time, holidays, weekends, evenings. Loss of earnings= £0

6 PILOTS!!!!!!! Wow, the competition is going to be fierce!!!!
Mint, fair play, that’s good going! Do you know if you'll have to pay out much to keep yourself current while you get the other ratings or will simply carrying on with the training do the trick?

Hi guys,
Just a quick question re their sponsorship. I have a PPL and about 100 hours. Do you reckon I'd be considered to have too many hours or does it make any difference at all?

I had nearlly all my atpl theory and 120 hours when i went. Maybe i was seen as lower risk or maybe they just wanted my money.
for £34K you can do it yourself.
Even though you do the cabair scheme there is no guarantee of a job. Is there?

I must be loosing it...
... I have that Flight International and didn't even spot it ... only found it just now on their website as I was wondering whether it would be running. Oh well...
But what d'you people think? Will this harm my application?
124hrs gliding time, 77 PIC, Silver rated.
21hrs of a PPL, just 2 PIC. Got the quals they want.
Plus I've just gone 24, but thats still way within their limits.
I just hope they'll let me off that Morrisby test; twice is quite enough!!!
Cheers;
Sky

Hi All can anyone tell me what contact address/email that they are using to get the information out of flybe for the sponsorship as i am having no joy.
I have e-mailed the main customer relations dept but i have heard nothing and it has been a week now.
Has anyone else had any better luck?
If so Please share.
