probably a lot more than half a million debt, workforce all owed money to start with, he funded it by convincing people to part with their money and offering things he did not own as security. End result everyone up a certain waterway without the requisite propulsion device.

yeh last estimate was around 1.5-2 million. he used to, as said convince richer group members to invest in portions of the business . he would offer free flying and partial ownership in aircraft to those who wished to invest . He also used to carry out the odd grey charter for local high flying business types , he would charge them a fortune for the charter and his big mucka , another gob!!!!e from the area would do them for him , occasionally he would ask instructors to do it if the gob!!!!e couldnt be arsed.
He had a select band of very wealthy friends whom he could call upon and borrow money from , he would then basically borrow peter to pay paul , this was his entire ethos . He would call on his staff to get potential students and group members to pay for a package up front giving him a lump sum , he would offer huge discounts for this to make it worthwhile . If he found out a group member had money he was relentless in cleaning their arse with his tongue until they gave him some money ,see recent episode of The Sheriffs are coming . Most instructors and staff myself included left as we were sick to death of his childish patronising attitude and refusal to pay .
This man is pure !!!!e on our shoes and deserves to rot in segregation or preferably in the general prison population.

All fair enough though I still can't see how getting some cash up front off a few members managed to fund all this. Not paying staff is deplorable though I also can't see how that would last very long. And is he not guilty of fraud amongst other crimes?

As I said above I understand that investigation into business matters accidentally discovered the far more serious offenses that he was charged with.

It would appear that HMR&C have seized some of his assets and it is most likely that bringing further charges is not in the public interest on cost grounds as he is already in prison and unlikely to get a further sentence for less serious crimes.

Not too many years ago I was speaking with someone who was considering going in with him. I persuaded this chap, fortunately, that it might not be the wisest choice. I believe my choice of words included "House of cards".
I thought it was obvious from the time he started up. In the early days of his club/school Craig was in the process of buying a particular machine and I wasted my breath advising him against it. His justifications for buying it were simply moronic and I do believe that was the last time I ever bothered to try and help him with anything.

Not only would i be frank about what a disgusting, deplorable individual he is based on his recent crimes but also about his dubious business practices.

I was approached by him to "lend" him a considerable sum in return for free flying. I said this in an earlier post but he never listened to what anyone said. When he called me i'd just operated L.A-London, so i told him what i'd just done and asked "Craig why on earth would i want that amount of free flying", which he completely ignored and carried on trying to justify this free flying concept, presumably in his own mind.

Koi et al can contribute to this thread, take their position on the moral high ground and argue their "concept" until they are blue in the face. What they clearly do not have is first hand knowledge of his sociopathic tendencies.
